We built in Warka a new production line to manufacture BIORUSTER. For 20 years this product has been known on the Polish market under the BIORENEX trade name, which still has devoted and satisfied customers. BIORUSTER is the same product as Biorenex, produced using the same technology and ingredients. The new production line allows us to increase the range of products and improve their quality.
WHAT ARE THE BIORUSTER PRODUCTS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS?
BIORUSTER products, strictly speaking their applications, are the modern, efficient and totally safe technology of chemical cleaning of heat exchangers from corrosion products and water-borne precipitates. This cleaning technology does not require removal or disassembly of heat exchangers, or diagnosing and measurement equipment. The technology does not use hydrochloric acid.
OTHER BIORUSTER APPLICATIONS
Apart from using BIORUSTER in the construction industry the product has been successfully applied in other branches of industry, mainly in electricity production, chemical works and other areas of the economy.
Etching, cleaning and rinsing water installations and exchangers:
cooling installations of methane, oxygen, and nitrogen compressors and similar devices,
heat exchangers (plate, tubular and other types),
heaters,
pre-heaters
brings measurable effects, including economic ones. (More)
It has been proven in practice that using the product to clean and etch heat exchangers substantially improves their heat exchanging efficiency. The improvement in the reliability of these devices can be achieved by elimination of expensive repairs, which often include replacement of malperforming elements of the cooling system. The largest effects are achieved by heating the bath solution to 50°C with the continuous solution flow. In these conditions the solution practically does not affect acid resistant steel or rubber seals, and has only a minuscule effect on standard grade steel (corrosion speed under 0.2 mm/year). The cleaning process must be monitored by measuring the acidity and pH of the solution. The product has been approved for industrial use while observing basic work safety measures. Bioruster obtained the Hygiene Certificate issued by the National Institute of Hygiene. (Hide)
OUR RANGE OF PRODUCTS
«BIORUSTER В1» - for use in chemical cleaning with the temperature of the circulating bath in the 40-50°C range. For more information about this product, see the Product Data Sheet on the right.
«BIORUSTER В2» - for use in places where it is impossible to heat the solution and the cleaning is done in the ambient temperature (above 10°C). This product additionally contains 1% of activator speeding up the sediment dissolution process. For more information about this product, see the Product Data Sheet on the right.
«BIORUSTER S» - product specially designed for use in particular conditions where sediments are resistant to Bioruster B1 and B2. This product additionally contains 1% of activator speeding up the sediment dissolution process. For more information about this product, see the Product Data Sheet on the right.
«BIORUSTER - OIL» - specially designed for use in conditions where one needs to flush, wash and clean suraces contaminated by crude oil and petroleum products. For more information about this product, see the Product Data Sheet and Washing Technology Sheet on the right.
«NEUTRALIZATOR» - product for neutralising Bioruster B1 B2 and S. For more information about this product, see the Product Data Sheet on the right.
«BIORUSTER» 's are manufactured as a concentrate and have to be diluted before use, usually in the 1:5 to 1:20 ratio.

The attached video shows the process and results of boiler scale removal from a section of pipe cut from a heavily contaminated heat exchanger. The demonstration was done in laboratory conditions.
The choice of product depends on the physicochemical composition and the structure of the sediment and on the material to be cleaned, usually diluted 1:5 to 1:20 with water. It is produced as a concentrate. Cleaning of the complete central heating installation does not require removal of heat exchangers, radiator flanges, radiators and other components, there is also no need to neutralise and passivate the surfaces after cleaning.
For the best results the cleaning bath should be heated to 50°C and the solution should be continuously circulated. The cleaning process should be monitored by periodical measurement of acidity and pH, and possibly the conductivity, of the bath. At the end of the process the used bath should be neutralised with sodium hydroxide or hydrated lime and be disposed of the in the sewage system only after reaching pH = 6,5÷7 and diluting with water. The final stage is thorough rinsing of the equipment and installation with water until the out-flowing liquid is clear, colourless and pH-neutral.
Chemical cleaning with BIORUSTER products guarantees restoring the central heating installation to its original condition, and also protects all automated steering and control equipment from sediments and corrosion products. Therefore its preventative application actually extends the installation lifetime and restores the heating comfort, and in cases of planned upgrading and automation assures its problem-free operation. Additional advantage is no discomfort for the inhabitants as the procedure can be performed during the heating season without disconnecting the installation, in a relatively short period of time.
The need for chemical cleaning of central heating installations is due to many reasons. One of the problems facing housing-stock managers is a poor condition of the installations, the consequence of many errors in the past with the construction, lack of proper materials and fittings, and the absence of standards and regulations which would assure the creation of durable and energy-saving heating systems. Irrespective of the chemical composition and structure of the sediments in the central heating installation, they cause significant operational disturbances, such as the decrease of the flow section and increase of the pipe coarseness, thus increasing the flow resistance. .
As a result, the heat transmission coefficient, and the efficiency, of heat exchangers decreases, more energy is needed, the temperature of radiators and of the heated areas drops, and the post-sediment corrosion risk increases.
The most serious damages caused by the sediments are done in fully or partially automated central heating installations, in particular break-downs, seasures or loss of water-tightness of the automation components. The sediments affect primarily flanges and valve seats, thin bellows, ball or pipe valves and flanges in regulator valves.
Research done by the Warsaw Polytechnics and the experience of firms converting central-heating installations and heat exchangers to automated operation show that many such automated control and steering systems require repairs or replacement after only a few months of operation.
The firms which after training gained licence certificates for chemical cleaning are spread all over the country, thus assuring access to professional and safe services . Housing co-operatives train their own brigades in our technology, thus reducing the cost of bringing the central-heating installation back to its peak functionality.(Hide)
